Community Powered Hunger Relief | Since 1969

The Walk for Hunger is a community movement to change the face of food insecurity in Massachusetts, and Project Bread's flagship community event and fundraiser. Since 1969, on the first Sunday in May, we — a community of thousands of neighbors from all walks of life—walk together to make a statement about the state of hunger in Massachusetts, and to take a step towards a permanent solution.

Cash & Check Donations

If you are collecting "offline donations" - cash and checks, here's what to do

Cash - we strongly encourage you not to mail cash. If possible keep the cash yourself and write a check to Project Bread for the cash amount.

Checks- Before you mail any checks to Project Bread, write your name in the memo line. So we can credit your personal fundraiser. If its a donation for your Team, and not your personal fundraiser, write your Team Name in the memo line. So we can credit your team fundraiser. This is is especially important for teams that are fundraising as part of The Commonwealth.

Ask your donors to make checks payable to Project Bread.

Mail your donations to: Project Bread, 145 Border St. Boston MA 02128

You can print out these Tally Cards to include when you mail checks to Project Bread to help us correctly credit them to your fundraiser - or team fundraiser.

Login to your Participant Center and add your Offline Gifts: This will update your fundraising total to accurately reflect how much you have raised!
