The Walk for Hunger

Boston Area Gleaners

Help Boston Area Gleaners Feed Families During this Crisis and Beyond.

Join the Gleaners’ team and support community food access across the state in the 53rd annual Walk for Hunger!

Get active in your neighborhood on May 2nd and raise funds to bring fresh, healthy food to those facing food insecurity in our state.

Project Bread estimates that right now, 1 in 6 households in Massachusetts lacks access to reliable nutrition.

Boston Area Gleaners works with farmers, volunteers, and hunger relief agencies to get healthy produce to those in need while reducing waste and supporting local agriculture. Throughout the year, we harvest surplus produce from fields, pack food boxes, and distribute to dozens of area food banks, pantries, and meal programs. The funds raised through this walk will help offset the cost of food storage and distribution so that we can continue to offer fresh produce to our pantry partners at no cost to them.

Everyone deserves access to healthy food. Walk with us this May to keep this supply chain going during what continues to be a critical time for the food security of millions in our state.
