You Can Feed Families During this Crisis and Beyond.
Waltham Fields Community Farm has joined Project Bread's The Walk for Hunger to help get COVID-19 food relief to kids and families across Massachusetts. 100% of your donation to our Team will benefit the work that BOTH Project Bread and Waltham Fields Community Farm are doing to get high-quality food to struggling families this year.
No one should go without a meal, yet Project Bread estimates that 1 in 6 households and 1 in 5 households with children across Massachusetts are facing hunger right now. The number of people who are unsure where their next meal will come from has increased by 59% in the state, and in eastern Massachusetts, the number has soared by 66%, compared to pre-COVID-19 levels, according to the Greater Boston Food Bank.
With your help, Waltham Fields Community Farm will deliver over 30 tons of our fresh food to low-income families in Waltham, Greater Boston, and MetroWest via food bank and pantry donations, our Mobile Outreach Market, Produce Prescription Program, half-price and subsidized vegetable shares, and more.
