2018 Walk for Hunger

International School of Boston

Thanks for visiting the International School of Boston Team’s Webpage!
We are so glad you found us, and hope that you will join us! Here is more info on the walk.

About the Walk for Hunger
Since 1969, project’s Bread Walk for Hunger has provided critical resources for hungry children and families in Massachusetts. Today, the Walk for Hunger is the oldest continual pledge walk in the country, and the largest annual one-day fundraiser to alleviate local hunger. Around 40,000 people do the Walk for Hunger every year and together they raise about $3.5 million!
Money raised through the Walk for Hunger funds more than 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, food banks, and food salvage programs in 135 communities across Massachusetts.

What’s new this year
As in the last 2 years, you have the choice between a 5K run or a 20-mile walk (you can always walk less!).
This year, Project Bread has a registration fee:
• Adults - $25
• Teens (13-17) - $15
• Children (12 and under) – free
• Runners - $35

How large is the ISB team?
There are usually 130-160 of us ISB walkers, we are always one of the largest teams! There are students, parents, teachers and staff, all walking together.

How much am I expected to contribute?
This year all runners and walkers 13+ will have a registration fee. You are, of course, most welcome to give extra! You are also encouraged to let your friends and family know about it and ask them to sponsor you. Just post about your walk on social media and give your Walk page URL. This will make it really easy to sponsor you!

Are you ready to walk or run with us? You will:
1. Raise money and awareness for this worthy cause.
2. Have fun with us.
3. Show the other 40,000 walkers/runners the true colors of ISB!

What if you can’t join us?
Would you consider sponsoring the team or one of its members? Your help would be most appreciated!
