I believe good food is a basic right, and am proud to be joining Project Bread on Sunday, May 7th for the 49th annual Walk for Hunger & 5K Run.
Nine years ago, my father, Lou, and I started the tradition of walking together. Our team - Blisters for Bread - was formed in 2008.
This year, more than 300 local programs in more than 100 Massachusetts communities will be supported through money raised by Walkers (and runners!) including: food pantries, meal programs, food rescue, urban agriculture, farm and garden, and critical child nutrition programs.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Walk page!
Every dollar helps support the nearly 675,000 food-insecure children and adults in Massachusetts that can’t always predict where their next meal is coming from.
Please donate to support my efforts, or join me by walking and raising money yourself, either way you are making difference in the lives of people across Massachusetts.
You can support my Walk by clicking on the purple donate button!
I would also love company on Walk Day, join me by registering yourself at www.projectbread.org/walk - 20 miles is a great accomplishment!
