More than 726,000 Massachusetts residents don't always have enough food to eat.
I believe everyone deserves access to healthy food. That’s why I’m not waiting for change – I'm walking for it.
On Sunday, May 6, I will be joining Project Bread in the 50th Annual Walk for Hunger to walk 20 miles and raise money to end hunger in Massachusetts! I was there for the first Walk for Hunger in 1969 and I'm STILL walking and raising money to feed the hungry!
I can't do this alone – I need your support. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Walk page! Just click on the green DONATE TO MARY button above my photo.
Last year, money raised through the Walk supported 263 local programs in nearly 100 communities across the state, including food pantries, meal programs, local farms, urban gardens and early childhood and school nutrition programs. These programs address hunger on both the individual and systemic level.
Thank you for helping me make a difference.
