Nancy Stockford's 39th Walk for Hunger on May 7

Help me Reach My Fundraising Goal for The Walk for Hunger!
I am participating in the Walk for Hunger for the 39th time (!!!) because I believe that no one should go without a meal. Project Bread makes it easier for people in Massachusetts to access and afford food with dignity.
Another reason I am particularly happy to support Project Bread is that 60% of what our team raises will go directly to the Church of the Covenant's weekend emergency Food Pantry. I have been a member at the Church of the Covenant for 40 years (Sunday services at 10:30 am: 67 Newbury Street!). The Food Pantry has been providing food to hungry people in Boston every Saturday and Sunday morning since the late 1970s.
Faith Perry, Covenant member and coordinator of the Food Pantry, told me that the money raised by the Walk for Hunger is extremely important to the Food Pantry. The Food Pantry sources much of its food from the Greater Boston Food Bank, but the food bank only allows one order per month. Every month the Food Pantry runs out of food before it can order again, so it uses the Walk for Hunger money to buy food elsewhere to fill in that gap.
Will you join me in fighting hunger by donating and helping me reach my fundraising goal!?
Your donation benefits Project Bread, and will prevent hunger by making it easier for people to access and afford food with dignity. And it will advocate for policies that make food more accessible for everyone.
