Look at Tomorrow

Fresh Foods for Kids

What’s the next new thing in hunger relief?

Imagine this:  A low-income school where all children have access to healthy food, where children know the names of the vegetables they eat, where school nurses have few hunger-related visits, where obesity rates have been reduced, and where the kids are alert and ready to learn.

Now imagine this across the state and the nation. Because a low-income child can eat two meals a day at school, Project Bread believes that schools are the best place to address child hunger.

Today, we’re working to transform the quality of the food these children are served. Tomorrow, we’ll have a financial model that shows school administrators that healthy food can also nourish their bottom line.
