2013 Walk for Hunger

Thanks to our generous Walkers, Volunteers, sponsors, and donors, the 45th Walk for Hunger showed all of us what it looks like when a community comes together to achieve a common goal.

On Sunday, May 5, 2013, 30,000 Walkers and 1,700 Volunteers raised an estimated $3.2 million to support community-based antihunger programs across Massachusetts.

We had amazing weather, "smooth sailing" with all of our event details, and a fantastic time reconnecting with our most dedicated supporters. Find out more about the event!

Chefs in Head Start Celebration

Chefs in Head StartThis past May, we held an event celebrating our Chefs in Head Start program. The program is headed up by our very own Chef Educator, Vanessa LaBranche, and truly reflects our fresh approach to ending hunger.

The Chefs in Head Start program, located in Lynn, and funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, is capturing both the imaginations and taste buds of young children before they develop a preference for foods high in sugar, fat, and sodium—something that is prevalent across the country, and not just with our kids.

See Chefs in Head Start in action! Check out a fun video created for us by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Media Productions, and learn more about the program.

The 46th Walk for Hunger is happening on Sunday, May 4, 2014—we hope you can join us!
