Project Bread’s 2010 Status Report on Hunger Released
We just released the state's annual report card on hunger: Project Bread's Status Report on Hunger in Massachusetts. Project Bread produces this report each year to show the prevalence of hunger and to share successful strategies to feed hungry people.
This report shows that our work together is more critical than ever — over 615,000 individuals in Massachusetts are struggling to put food on the table, and that includes children. In low-income communities, families with children experience hunger at three times the rate of the rest of the state. Children are at the greatest risk of poor health outcomes from hunger.
Want a chance to win a Tom Brady football?
Project Bread's Strike Out Hunger Bowl-a-thon is happening in less than 2 weeks! Join us to mix and mingle with fellow Project Bread supporters on Monday, November 15th, anytime between 5:00-10:00 P.M. at Lucky Strike Lanes/Jillian’s in Boston. Enjoy light appetizers and the chance to win raffle prizes, including a football autographed by Tom Brady, a baseball autographed by Jacoby Ellsbury and gift certificates to many Boston area attractions. Rather bowl? Limited lanes still available for our 5:30pm time slot. Register to mix and mingle or to bowl at support.projectbread.org/strikeouthunger.
JAM'N 94.5’s Monster Jam and Project Bread
JAM'N 94.5’s Monster Jam 2010 was a great success! Thank you to JAM’N 94.5 for donating $15,000 to help us fight hunger at Monster Jam on October 25th at the TD Garden. Check out the photo of Project Bread staff Ryan Lee and Mary Kirchman, with JAM’N 94.5 morning show DJs, Pebbles, Ramiro, and Melissa.
Host a holiday party for a good cause.

It's not too late to join our Spoons Project!
